On-Chain Communities: Lessons from Partnering with Doginal Dogs

Key operational lessons from partnering with the Doginal Dogs project, bringing media production, event experience, and brand-building energy to scale their existing community.

On-Chain Communities: Lessons from Partnering with Doginal Dogs

Decentralized communities operate differently from traditional structures. There are no top-down managers. Success depends on shared incentives, clear communication, and strong cultural alignment.

Partnering with Doginal Dogs has been one of the most valuable chapters in our journey. Rather than coming in to take over operations or claim ownership of what they already built, the partnership is about bringing complementary skills — media production, event experience, and brand-building energy — to help scale what they have already created.

Here are three practical lessons that have stood out while working alongside them:

Lesson 1: Community Strength Beats Short-Term Hype

Most projects that enter Web3 rely on short-term hype to extract value from a community. Doginal Dogs took a different path. From the beginning, the focus was on building outside of the blockchain itself. When they minted, everyone who was around at the time received two free mints. They have never charged anyone to mint. There are 10,000 Doginal Dogs on the blockchain, and since then the strength of the community has set the price — with the floor sitting around $3,000 USD at the time of writing. That kind of organic value only happens when the community is the real product.

Lesson 2: Physical Presence Still Matters

One of the things that stands out about Doginal Dogs is that they are not afraid to dox. They show their faces and build in public. They are also heavily invested in real-life experiences. Whether it was renting out Moxie for DDNYC or partnering with Tao Group (a global events company), they host major in-person meetups roughly every 90 days. These gatherings are open to holders and non-holders alike — people come from around the world to meet, network, learn, and strengthen the culture around the brand and IP. That consistent real-world energy is rare in this space.

Lesson 3: The Right Partnership Multiplies Growth

It’s not just about how many people see your brand. It’s about who sees it. Partnering with Doginal Dogs doesn’t only expand reach — it puts you in front of some of the most capable and well-connected people across blockchain, real estate, traditional markets, crypto, media, sports, comedy, and even platforms like Netflix. The quality of the network is the real leverage. You’d have to be silly not to want to work with them.

As we head toward DDNYC and beyond, the goal remains the same: keep building alongside each other, keep adding value, and keep creating more wins for both the Doginal Dogs ecosystem and everything we’re building on our side.
